I recently bought Canon PS-1000 in very good shape for less than 5 USD at a flea market. It came with original instructions, protective cover, original reel and several film reels. Despite good shape, when I opened it, the main belt was missing.
I bought a couple of NOS bulbs for less than 50 cents a piece also at a flea market. Thanks to the youtube videos, I was able to replace the belt using meltable PU band and it works perfectly! I also cleaned the pots to remove crackling noise.
Before trying the films, I'd like to oil the projector, but I don't have much knowledge about projector mechanics. I read online that sewing machine oil is good for that, and I have some in my home.
Could you help me by instructing me where to apply lubricant?
