Hello yall, handyman of sorts really confused.

Around the whole house what i believe is the drip edge was installed to tight, leaking intermittently in different spots.

I tried to install a 10ft 5inch drip edge over the original, but it wont butt against it flush so i loose the 1/4th inch shingle overhang. Looking for the easiest fix(i presume cualk) along with the professional fix, thanks.
