Wife and I drove out early this morning to tick off 2 more Wainwright's off the list. Illgill and Whinn Rigg. Planned it as the loop but once we got down to road we decided to add more climbing we'd just make it a point to point and head back the way we came.
Weather was bit wet up top but not terrible.
Just under 15km with 866m climbing.
The missus and I took drive to Keswick today just because we we're bored. Packed few basics as I didn't know if we'd do Catbells just knew it was an option. Original plan was mooch around Keswick.
Got to Keswick and realised was to busy and zero parking so carried on to Catbells parking. Got out, paid parking guy, grabbed ice cream and set off.
Overall pretty nice walk, started off pretty steep with bit of scrambling involved but we made it and knocked off 1 more Wainwright from list.
Did it in pair of Vans to, managed well but they were mess by the end.
