Hi everyone! I have a Stanley D230 oil-free air compressor. The compressor builds pressure, but it cannot go above ~4 bar, and even getting there is slow. After reaching 4 bar it keeps running continuously, but the pressure increases very slowly or not at all. It also has a few very small air leaks.

I checked the cylinder and piston ring a bit. I attached photos of mine and of a kit I found online. Is it possible that the piston ring on the piston head is the problem and it loses compression?

I checked:

gasket is OK

reed valves/valves look very good

regulator works

What do you think the problem could be?
