Let's say the range is 380nm to 800nm. I suppose that is near infra-red above 750nm so mostly visible? Obviously not as useful as a VNIR instrument that would go up to maybe 1000 nm and can pick up spectra invisible to the naked eye.
Does anyone know what kind of materials would a push-broom instrument of that spectral range typically be used to examine? Are there a wide range of uses for this spectral range?
