I’m sure this has been asked before but I cannot find where.

This is more directed towards college professors than grade school teachers.

Does every teacher read through all of the essays that are turned in? Even mid semester assignments and not just finals?

I know in college teachers face a lot more students and have a flood of grading to do.

So do they really read and review every essay or are they skimming through them/using a program to give an analysis or highlight key points?

Or even just make sure the essay meets all the criteria: such as word count, sources cited, staying on topic, etc.
