How much body checking is involved in women’s hockey?

i’m 19, completely new to hockey and have been starting to look at some teams i could join but i’m quite worried about the body checking/injury side of things. (particularly head injuries)

i want to know cause if there’s a lot then i’ll probably give it a miss, i also like my teeth where they are now
😅

also im in england if it’s relevant??

Need to buff up my CV for masters applications

I’m about to enter my 2nd year of my chemistry undergrad (UK uni) and am thinking about applying for masters programmes and my top choice is a research masters at cambridge uni so i need a competitive application. (it would be chemistry - but im interested in the biological side)

that said, im planning on applying to some placements for research i can do in the next summer and seeing if i can get some research experience throughout the year at uni (not sure if they’ll let me) but thats only 2 things i can add, which isn’t very competitive. i’m also gonna see about tutoring younger students but really need some extra stuff to add to make me a competitive applicant.

please give some advice :)

edit~ im planning on applying for phd after if that holds any relevance
