Advice on petrol for Kushaq
Hi, I'm expecting delivery of my new Kushaq in the next couple of days. I have seen that as per the owner's manual, it is advised to fill at least 95 octane petrol for the car, although it can tolerate as low as 91-92 octane as well. Earlier this meant that Kushaq owners had to fill XP95 petrol since that met the required octane level.
With the introduction of E20 petrol across the board, octane of regular fuel from the pump is also higher than 95 (source). Does that mean that it is now safe to fill regular fuel or is it still mandatory/recommended to fill XP95 petrol? Based on my limited understanding, XP95 also contains additives which might be useful for cleaning internal lines/fuel injectors in the TSI engine.
Curious to know what other owners are doing? Do you fill the regular petrol from the pump or do you exclusively only fill XP95? Would be grateful for all thoughts and inputs on this. Thank you.
