This has been my favorite leather so far. It keeps getting softer and still resists scratching. Is there another type of leather that wears similarly but also ages gracefully?

I made a tassel and I’m not sure how to stitch the seam on the final leather border that holds the piece together. It’s already been cemented so I’m not sure if it’s still possible. Any insight is appreciated.
