Had this little cutie hatch a day early, it’s starting to get pretty rambunctious in there and really knock the other eggs around and peck at them. I’m definitely not getting it out just yet as it’s only been about 12 hours but wondering how long people generally leave chicks in there? Hatch date was supposed to be tomorrow, so hopefully everyone else will start to pip tomorrow.
I’ve got one daughter who loves Boba Fett, easy to get some cheap kid’s costume pieces for her so she can live out her dream. The other thinks Fennec Shand is the coolest ever. Not so easy to find premade, and kids sized. I’m fairly advanced with my sewing and crafting skills, so I thought I could find some patterns and create something myself, but I really haven’t found anything. I’ve searched pretty hard, but no luck. If anyone can point me in the right direction, or has any ideas on how to assemble a nice, playable Fennec Shand costume for a 9 year old, I could use the help! Video of lil Boba just cause :)
I’ve been raising chicks this summer as my original flock is aging. I have 11 ten week old chicks and 7 five week old chicks. The 10 week old chicks are already living in the main pen with the older chickens, but they have their own separate coop. The 5 week old ones are soon ready to join them. They’ve been spending the day outside in their own little pen within the big pen, so they can all get used to each other. They get supervised time with everyone. The bigger chicks are still bullying the younger ones just a bit, but not nearly as bad as before. I’m debating just sticking them in the coop at night when everyone’s roosting. Curious how others have handled integrating different ages of chickens together?

Hey all, I’m just wondering what people’s ideas for my face are. I basically only ever do really light makeup, like super sheer foundation, neutral eyeshadows, very natural. I say my goal is always to look like I’m not wearing makeup. But I’m just tired, and bored, and wanting a change. Wondering what would look good on my face, looking for something a bit more fun but I feel like everytime I try, it just looks clownish. I also don’t want to spend hours on makeup and hair, so I want something fairly simple. I kind of have a very boho, free spirited style, really drawn to hippy-ish, flowy clothes. I’m just ready for a makeover and to try sometime new but I have no idea where to start. I also don’t have fantastic makeup skills.
Btw, I’m in my 30s, I think I have combo skin, it’s greasy but also dry somehow? My skin is also fairly sensitive, I’ve struggled with eczema my whole life. I also have a really crooked face, which I feel like makes things harder cause i can never keep things even on either side.
