The Amateur Spruce

Follow up on previous post asking suggestions. Entered the tree on a ladder up to good branches. ALT to a suitable tie-in. Dropped pull line down. Deacended on a top anchor line with retrieval line installed. Pulled main line up and over for basal anchor. Ascended on Vertec, foot+knee ascender. When done this side can switch anchor and do the other side.

Because it’s There

Is climbing trees something people just do? Not for profession nor necessity, but because they like It? Like white water kayaking or hang gliding, etc.

Snakes in the Trees

Third one I have met up in the branches. Had my phone this time. One was 60 feet up. Kind of late to be hunting hatchlings.
