PS5 Controller died just after warranty & Sony India refused repair or replacement
My PS5 DualSense controller suddenly stopped working completely right after the warranty expired (was working fine before) had it connected to my macbook with using the Apple C to C cable. Worked fine for a minute and the completely shut off & no lights.
I tried all the troubleshooting methods like the reset buttons, keeing it in charge for 1-2hrs using multiple Official cables and adapters from Apple and Samsung still no luck. It does slightly heat when plugged into charge.
I contacted Sony support and even spoke to a supervisor, they clearly said:
- No replacement (since out of warranty, even by 1 day) Date of purchase 6th April 2025 - Date of Failure 21th May 2026
- No repair option at all for the controller according to them
This feels wrong because a complete hardware failure like this shouldn’t happen under normal usage forget normal use i barely used it max 10 days in total, no drops, no scratch, no physical damages its almost brand new
Has anyone in India faced something similar? Were you able to get a repair or goodwill replacement?
Trying to figure out if I should escalate further or just get it repaired locally.
