Control was always the concern for Misiorowski on if he would stick as a starter (5.4 BB/9 in the minors). He's has a 1.42 BB/9 his last 7 starts. The league leader in 2025 was 1.52 BB/9 (Skubal).

I don't think I've ever seen such a severe turnaround where a player's weakness turning into an elite strength. He basically speedran Randy Johnson's control journey from 1993 to 1999 in a half a year.

Some single-season franchise records to keep you eye on this year...

Misiorowski is currently on pace to tie the franchise single-season strikeout record (264 by Ben Sheets in 2004) if he gets 30 starts on the season and beat it if he gets over 30 starts.

He's also on pace to destroy the franchise single-season ERA record (2.36 by Mike Caldwell in 1978) with his 1.89 ERA currently.

A little more under the radar, Brice Turang is on pace to beat the franchise single-season runs record (136 by Paul Molitor in 1982) with a current pace of 137.

Turang is also on pace to beat the franchise single-season walks record (114 by Prince Fielder in 2010) with a current pace of 123.
