Totaled? What to do next for 86 vette
posting for a friend but he recently got into an accident in his 86 vette, someone parked on the shoulder drove into him without looking, i’m assuming the insurance will total his car, is there anyway to avoid that? if not what would he do to either keep the car for a rebuild title in CT or just get a new c4? All the scuffs are just paint transfer and rub off, door glass is broken, and door probably needs to be replaced but the rear fiberglass only has a tiny crack and a paint only crack, and hood only has the one crack and a paint only crack. The main issue i believe is the door jamb damage being so severe, though definitely fixable the door still opens and closes fine. No mechanical or frame/suspension damage at all, just fiberglass. Insurance does not have any images of damage yet, so he was thinking if he wanted to keep the car to fix the door jamb and hood crack so it would only need paint and a new door with glass. Any ideas on what to do would be great thanks everyone!
