I was recently offered a creative position at an organization in River North. It’s a hybrid remote/in-office position that would allow me to explore the city.

The office is in River North, but I don’t want to live there. I’m a creative in my mid-twenties who plays music, does theater, and wants to get into the improv scene. I also want to go out, meet like-minded people, and enjoy the rest of my 20s without a long commute to work when I have to be in-office. River North seems very upscale, corporate and touristy — not my vibe. I do not need a modern high-rise apartment. My budget is around $1200/month. No roommates. Any suggestions?
