Given that Upwork frequently suspends accounts randomly, my concern is that if i hire someone, one of our accounts gets suspended and it creates severe delays in my project. Is it against the ToS to give my number to a freelancer once I hire them?

Is there a customer support number I can call? My account was wrongly suspended because Upwork thinks I have more than 1 account and freelancers who I would’ve hired are backing out of their proposals and I cannot contact anyone to get this fixed. It’s been 4 days and Upwork support isn’t responding to me. This is insane and I will probably end up paying double on Toptal for my work but at least they’ll let me hire someone

I’m pretty new to using Upwork and I’m a client trying to hire a freelancer. I checked all my emails and I do not recall ever using Upwork or ever creating an Upwork account in the past. I was in the middle of interviewing candidates for a proposal but now my account is suspended and I can’t contact any of them.
Has this ever happened to anyone before? It’s my first time trying to hire a developer but now I’m worried that they may not want to work with me since it says my account is suspended. I hope that Upwork gives me back access to I can continue interviewing, but I’m really confused as to how this happened since I don’t remember ever creating a prior account.
