My dead grandfather came to leave me a message.

This happened to me about 15 years ago. I've told this story to a few people over the years to see if anything similar has happened to them, and I'm very curious about it.
During a yoga session, near the very end, I think I drifted off and found myself in a dark place, surrounded by what I perceived to be some sort of underdeveloped or lower forms of consciousness.
Suddenly, a door opened in the ceiling. It was filled with light, and I saw the silhouette of my deceased grandfather. He started talking to me and asked me to pass a message to my mom, that she would be okay and that it wasn't her time yet. At the time, she was about to undergo cancer treatment.
He said goodbye and then left, the door closed and I found myself back in that class.
I wonder if anyone else has ever experienced something similar. I think the whole experience lasted less than a minute.
