Diagnosis

hello! I’m new to all of this, and trying to navigate proper diagnosis and treatment options. I’m 47, peri-menopausal, and I’ve been on HRT for about 2.5 years.

I’ve recently had terrible right hip, flank, rib and leg pain and have been to the ER and urgent care multiple times, fearing that it was gallbladder pain. all gallbladder imaging and tests came back normal, but they did find a 5 cm. fibroid, which I was suggested to follow up with my gyn about when I felt like it.

recently I’ve had some abnormal bleeding between cycles, so I finally got in with a gyn. They were quite concerned about the pain I’ve been experiencing as it is consistent with where this fibroid is, and they told me that what I was describing sounds like endometriosis pain. they were able to palpate the fibroid which was EXCRUCIATING and have now referred me for an endometriosis screening MRI?

unfortunately, I am not ok with receiving contrast at all. my question is, will an MRI be sufficient for correct diagnosis, without contrast? or is there a better way to diagnose what’s going on? my pain is truly unmanageable and although I’m very fearful of surgery, I’d live to have pain relief if that will help.

thank you all for your time and input. 🤞

47 and freaking out

I am suddenly seeing deep lines and laxity, and really not feeling great about it. What sort of treatments do you think would be helpful? I have had Botox in the past, anlso PRF EZ gel (which did nothing). Open to suggestions, thank you.
