I feel like there is some major potential to map the Taiwan game-mode on to a mini-season that involves skiing. The Dolomite ski area is basically a bunch of interconnected ski resorts that together form a giant circular network. Sam would probably have the advantage, but completing the circle itself doesn't actually involve much skiing as most of the distance is covered by gondolas and lifts. considering that an average skier with a little effort can complete two laps in a single day, a one or two day gondola (rail) rush would make for quite an interesting game.

Edit: You could also do it in the summer, just without the skiing part.
