Dalí Cat made an early appearance 😹

According to my original plan, Dalí is a Leo, so he was supposed to be the fifth cat artist in this series.

But…

Someone suggested a Dalí Cat in the comments and even imagined him as a cat with a little mustache. 😆

I thought, okay, let’s draw him first!

So he jumped the line. 😂

I chose a Maine Coon as his model because he has such a strong presence. I thought it was a perfect fit for Dalí.

Of course, I didn’t want to directly copy his famous mustache, so I changed it into six little whiskers pointing upward. And as for the melting clock… I came up with my own version of that too. 😹

I included the versions before and after the whisker change so you can see the difference.

A lot of the ideas for this series have actually come from the comments. So if there’s an artist you’d like to see, keep the suggestions coming! You never know who might suddenly jump the line. 😆

But… this series may be moving a little slower for a while.

I recently took a fall and fractured my arm. 😭

So for now:

The cat artists are still creating. The actual artist is currently under maintenance. 😹🔧

Curious what cat + puzzle lovers think of this design idea

Hi everyone, I've been designing a puzzle concept where I turn artists into cats, matching each painter's personality to a cat breed's traits.

The first one is Van Gogh — I picked an Abyssinian cat. Active, curious, a little impulsive... felt right for him.

This piece went from pencil sketch to ink to digital coloring. I'm not sure if this idea is interesting or not, so I'm curious what you all think, since you love both cats and puzzles: if you could turn one artist into a cat, who would you pick? What personality would that cat have?

(The cat here is one I drew, not my real cat — mine's back home and I can't see her right now. Miss her a lot.)

Trade

Depending on the phone model, condition, and overall value, you may choose 2–3 accessories.

If your phone is worth significantly more than a typical used phone, I'm happy to discuss adding more pieces to make the trade fair for both of us.

Since every piece is handmade, the materials, craftsmanship, and time invested vary, so I'm flexible and happy to work out a fair trade.

Meetup

I'm located in Queens, NYC.

Preferred meetup locations:

Queens

Brooklyn

Other areas can be discussed.

If You Don't Have a Phone

If you simply like the accessories, you're also welcome to purchase them.

Local delivery within NYC may be available depending on the location.

Reference Prices (also used as trade values):

① Handmade Silk Bag — $98

② Brass Pixiu Charm — $48

③ Taoist Lucky Coin Ornament — $39

④ Guru Rinpoche Mantra Ornament — $39

⑤ Golden Sandalwood Bracelet — $128

⑥ Tibetan Prayer Wheel Necklace — $48

These pieces are not mass-produced.

I personally design and assemble them using carefully selected components collected from China, Nepal, and Southeast Asia. Because of the natural materials and handmade process, no two pieces are ever exactly the same.

I hope each piece is more than just an accessory—it carries a story, a touch of Eastern culture, and the warmth of handmade craftsmanship.

If you have a spare 5G phone and appreciate handmade art, Asian culture, or unique accessories, feel free to send me a message. I'd love to hear from you!
