There was a group of all women wearing maroon “miller running” uniforms and they were doing a relay race in the bike lanes that involved sprinting and getting on Citi bikes that were parked intermittently on the side. It was a very dangerous activity since the weather was so nice and the bike lane was full of people. I biked into one of the women who suddenly made a turn to the side for a Citi bike. Luckily we were both ok, I think, and she proceeded to get on her Citi bike and continue with the race.. really crazy activity.

Solved: it was an unauthorized event that took place on the west side hwy. I’m happy for the runners who accomplished such an amazing feat but the organizers really put them in danger.
