Second opinion?

So I know my body quite well. I went to the GP and said I believe I have an infection from a wound.

I went to them and they said they think it’s the healing process. But the swelling is quite far away from the injury and it wasn’t swollen before. It’s now been getting more painful and swelling has continued to increase. Pain has been getting worse and the injury has been rather red and inflamed.

Just looking to see if anyone has an opinion on it. I have a few friend nurses and they said I should have gotten at least antibiotics and possible X-rays.

Hi. I need advice.

Her tail looked a bit weird but I initially thought it was just stuck shed. But it’s been getting worse. So I booked the vet and about 2 days before I took her she was a lot more lethargic and not really moving as much.

So the vet thinks she has CANV (yellow fungus)

They were suggesting a biopsy to confirm it. However she’s already on the treatment so I feel a biopsy wouldn’t be worthwhile. It would be expensive to basically confirm what she already believes.

She’s on 4 meds atm. The vet explained that she’ll be on meds for the rest of her life. The issue is long term. One of the meds cause liver damage. She also said cost wise. It’s expensive medication to be getting each month along with a probable appointment at the vets every 2 ish months.

She’s gave us two weeks to give the medication time to see if it will make a difference. And I need to have an idea of what I want to do when I go back.

I’m hoping the meds will work to make her more normal. She’s struggling to take the meds. Like fully squirming trying to get away and since starting the meds her beard is almost constantly black. Like even when I have her out and cuddling it’s still not going normal. I’ve got her lying sleeping and it’s the first time it’s been normal all day.

However looking at images of yellow fungus I’m not sure if it is. Or if it is I think it must be in the later stages.

What do you think of this.
