Vintage Incredible Hulk

Vintage Incredible Hulk (stuff) 1966-1975.

Tales To Astonish 83 (1966) is one of my favorite old school Hulk covers by none other than Jack (King) Kirby. My grail Hulk cover is Incredible Hulk 3. There’s just something about the Hulk bouncing and sailing through the air.

In 1967, the Louis Marx Toy Company made the first Hulk figure, along with other marvel characters. Hulk was based on the Jack Kirby concept. These plastic figures came in various colors with awesome detailing for their time.

And of course, Mego’s 1974-75 Incredible Hulk figure which would make it the 2nd Hulk figure ever made. The figure looks like a combo inspiration of Jack Kirby/Herb Trimpe art work of the Hulk.

Vintage 1966 Batman Bicycle Ornament - Made by Empire

Batman and I were reunited several years ago when I found one still on the card! That's me in 1967. Over 50 years later I found my "grail" piece. My Dad purchased the first one for me and he's the reason for my Batman collection.

My Mom said he would sit me in my high chair to watch the 1966 Batman Television series and I would go nuts when I saw the cartoon intro. Needless to say everything they purchased for me was Batman 66 related. I was known as the "Nananananana Batman" kid.

Collect what means something to you. For me it's good memories and it's all about the hunt! I know I cant take it with me in the end, but it's a fun collecting and sharing with other collectors. Who needs a therapist when you have Batman?? LOL!!

Vintage 1976 Mego Action Heroes - Complete 12 Piece Set

Vintage 1976 Mego Action Heroes. These little figures get a bad rap because of the questionable poses, but they are pretty cool. I had a blast hunting them down for the last several years, completing the 12 piece set.

Common problems are missing accessories, paint rubes, and of course the bases. These are great loose examples.

Vintage 1967 Batman Wilton Cake Topper with Original Catalog Ad.

Vintage 1967 Batman Cake Topper with Original Catalog Ad. Manufactured by Wilton Enterprises Inc.

In my research of these figures, I found out that some time later (1971) Wilton changed the name of this figure to “Catman”. They either lost licensing rights, or never had them to begin with.

The 1970's Catman figures have a lighter grey tone suit, seen here in the last two photos. I have a lot of useless knowledge like that, lol.

Finally completed the 2nd set (upper tier) with Wonder Woman. Finding any of these individual figures is not easy. The figures are small, just over 2"-3" tall.

Watching The Hulk Hogan series on Netflix. I'm glad they completed this, great story for a great wrestler. I have many good memories of watching the WrestleMania events in their early days with my Dad.
