Desktop icons have turned white. Any quick fixes?
Firstly, I'm using the KDE Bazzite but haven't had much luck on that subreddit getting a solution so I thought that I'd try here. The issue occurred after one desktop icon had turned white and I sought help from an AI search engine to fix that, which resulted in...most of my desktop icons turning white.
What mostly fixed the problem was changing the global theme to something else but going back to the earlier one sees the problem remain. The new global theme is WhiteSur - dark and my old one is Breeze Dark.
One affected app is Gnote. The app details remain the same whatever global theme I am using but under the old one, the desktop icon is white. These are details that I noted:
Show target: /var/lib/flatpak/exports/share/applications/
Location: / (desktop)
Points to: /var/lib/flatpak/exports/share/applications/org.gnome.Gnote.desktop
Ideally I'd like a fix which works for all the apps in one go, not on an individual basis.
Is that possible? If not, how do you fix this issue?
