Advice on my first 100-400 series camera

Advice on my first 100-400 series camera

I’m looking for any advice on purchasing one of the cameras from the 100-400 series. These are the bellows style Polaroid cameras that shot pack film, which is now going extinct as nobody makes it anymore.

Newland made this mod back that straps to these 100-400 series cameras which allows you to mechanically shoot and print on IType, 600, and SX70 film.

I’m interested in getting the back, but now that I’m shopping for used antique cameras, I realize I don’t actually know anything about the 100-400 series.

Where do they most commonly break?

What are signs of a potential break?

Below is a link to the device I want to buy for those who are curious.

The absolute minimum for camera scanning

If someone were to get into film scanning, and already has a film holder they are happy with, the Lomography Digitaliza, for example, what is the absolute minimum camera and lens needed for decent camera scanning?

I’m not a professional. Like I said, I have the Digitaliza, and it’s worked great for phone scans. I’d probably get a copy stand to make it easier, but
I don’t know a digital camera.

What do you recommend? High end. Low end. Absolute bare minimum for decent results.
