I am currently looking to apply to Japanese tech companies. At my current company(FAANG) I’m a senior software engineer. However I only have 2.5 YOE. Will companies like Rakuten or paypay level me at senior or will I get downleveled? I ask because I really want to move to Japan but I don’t want to take a title demotion or too big of a pay cut relative to cost of living.
