Palermo/Sicily trip recommendations
I am going to visit Sicily briefly (3 days) in a week or two and would love recommendations of anything off the beaten path, to show the beautiful natural wonder or even the historical side of the island. Also, I would love any restaurant recommendations you can give.
We will land in Palermo so travel to the far east or anything far away from Palermo is not possible.
We have already decided to visit:
Piana degli albanesi for sentimental reason
Corleone as my father is a fan of the Godfather
However we are also thinking of something more... Interesting/authentic, if you know what I mean. Hidden villages, beautiful mountain scenery, historic sites, unique cultural experiences, lesser-known coastal spots, traditional markets. Anything really that gives a deeper sense of Sicily would be ideal. Thanks.
