Long distance backpacking with young child
Has anyone done any long distance backpacking with young children on here? My boyfriend, myself, my child (15 months when starting in spring or is in fall start she'll be 23 months) and our dog are looking to do the Arizona Trail. It's an 800 mile hike. From Mexico border to Utah/ AZ border in spring or opposite in fall.
Any advice if welcomed.
Any suggestions on what to pack? Even suggestions for the dog.
Carriers that have been good for long distances? I will most likely be breastfeeding still. I'm hoping to have potty training going as well, at least during the day.
Much love!
