Is it okay to install yakuake via rpm-ostree install?

I wanted to install yakuake as native package to easily share the profile with konsole.

After some research, I found out that I can install normal fedora package with rpm-ostree install. So I installed with it, and yakuake perfectly integrated.

I know using rpm-ostree too much would make the system unstable, but I didn't want use flatpak or make whole new image to just use one dropdown terminal app.

It's just one app. Nothing would go wrong, right?

Why debian is good for customizing like Arch, and what is difference between Arch in terms of customization?

I once came here and asked "What Restaurant is Debian?" and the answer I got was "Empty dish that I can put anything I want".

I always thought that Arch is blank dish, but it also made sense that debian is empty dish, too.
When some random hardware appears but don't know which distro to use? Then some form of debian was usually right answer.

But why debian feels so right for thinkering? I think debian's stability makes great for hardware thinkering, but I wanna hear your thoughts, too.

Any ways to automate offline update and sbctl signing?

I wanna set the automatic offline update for my main gaming rig. But when I set it, it does not automatically sign the kernel which makes the system fail to sceure boot.

I wanna use cachy kernels and tweaks, but I don't want to enter password to update every single time. Is there any ways to sign the updated kernels on offline update?

Or just wipe the windows partition and forget about microslop and kernel-level anticheat malwares? I don't really use windows for play these days, so maybe?

I think KDE is getting more love than ever by fedora devs recently.

I was messing around various distros and DEs recently, and I started f44 with gnome version. It was more stable than f43 KDE.

But I wondered about the new welcome menu of KDE version, and I installed fresh copy of fedora KDE. I initially thought that it would use the version of gnome, but WOW. It was proper KDE based initial setup page. It even offered keymap settings which was missing in gnome version(or I missed)! And there were much more that I could setup at there! It's really getting love!

But I can't say about stability yet... How're yours going?

I'm using Standard fedora Workstation 44 for my RTX2060 gaming laptop from 2017. It's primary role is..... to sit still and wait until my other rigs are compromised. Like putting my VMs and containers if my main homelab goes down, or my gaming desktop blows out, etc...

So for a while later, I think I would forget about that machine and shove it into closet until I screw something. Or maybe I could go national arcade gaming tour with that laptop.

So, how do you think for my usage? I could change desktop environments to KDE, or use something immutable versions like kinoite or silverblue. Or any other ideas?
