Need help Streamlining my cards portfolio 🙏
Need some help streamlining my credit card portfolio because I think it has started getting a bit out of hand 😭
Current cards:
HDFC: - Millennia - Swiggy - Neu Plus
Axis: - Ace - Airtel - Neo (LTF)
ICICI: - Sapphiro Amex + Mastercard (LTF) - Rubyx Amex + Mastercard (LTF) - Coral Amex + RuPay (LTF) - Amazon Pay (LTF) - MMT Platinum (LTF)
Others: - SBI Cashback - Scapia
My current rationale:
- Swiggy is something I use to its full cashback potential, so I feel that one should stay.
- Neu Plus was mainly for lounge access, but that got devalued. I still use Tata Neu occasionally for flights and 1mg purchases, but not heavily.
- Axis Ace is my primary offline swipe card and also my go-to for utility bills/recharges through GPay.
- Axis Airtel feels like a major L overall, but I still get value from the Zomato and Blinkit offers.
- Axis Neo — honestly not sure if I even need it. I do occasionally use the Blinkit 10% offer though.
- SBI Cashback is completely non-negotiable. I use it extensively for almost all online spends.
ICICI is where things spiralled 💀
Started with the MMT card.
Then got offered Coral LTF and took it.
Then applied for Amazon Pay.
Then got offered Rubyx LTF and took that.
Then got offered Sapphiro LTF and… I took that too.
(Why the heck did I take all this lol)
My original thought process was lounge access, but all the useful lounge access became spend-based anyway, and I barely use the ICICI cards except when some ICICI-specific instant discount offer comes up for me or friends. My spends on those cards are nowhere near enough to unlock lounge benefits either.
Would genuinely appreciate suggestions on what to keep, close, or consolidate.
Also yes, I used AI to frame this request because I realised I was rambling too much otherwise 😅
Update: Monthly Spends Pattern: 15k on Swiggy (Food Delivery+Instamart+Dineout) 5k on Zomato+Blinkit 5k UPI spends 5k POS shopping 10k online shopping About 6-8 Flights per year, so on severe lounge access shortage with the current portfolio
