I've never had an accident so needing some guidance from the community.

My daughter who is on my insurance had an minor accident.

She was making a u-turn hit a Sign, the sign fell and hit a person while they were walking on the sidewalk.

The person was ok, the sign hit her on the thigh and she had a deep scratch. She was taken to the hospital by the police, because the EMT was taking about 20mins. The woman seem in good spirits. I'm just glad she's ok.

The car has a minor dent on the bumper. The car is 12 years old not even worth the fix.

My daughter was given a Civic Summons and has a hearing in July.

From those with more experience, what should we expect?
