I built my own anime tracker because I got tired of MAL and AniList
Been using MAL and AniList for years and always had the same annoyance with both of them. Every season of a show is its own separate entry. Attack on Titan is like 7 different things you have to track individually. I just wanted one entry per series with all the seasons together.
So I built AniVault. Been using it as my main tracker for a few months now. Here's what it can do:
- Season grouping, so Attack on Titan is one entry with 7 seasons instead of 7 separate anime
- IMDB episode ratings grid for each show so you can see which arcs were the best
- Stats page with genre breakdowns, ratings distribution, watch time
- Activity heatmap similar to GitHub's
- MAL and AniList import if you want to bring your existing list over
- There's a manga section too but it's still being worked on
If you don't already track anime and have been thinking about starting, I think this is genuinely a better starting point than MAL or AniList right now.
There's also a community tab but it's still early and needs more work.
Not optimized for mobile yet so use it on desktop. Would love any feedback or bug reports.
(also please don't come after me for my ratings)
