I have a blood draw scheduled for a lab test (BMP), the instructions on the order indicate non-fasting.

If I end up fasting anyway, is that a problem? The draw is first thing in the morning and I wouldn't get my coffee or breakfast until afterwards anyway, but I don't want to impact the accuracy of the test.

Normally my annual labs are fasting and it isn't a problem but this is outside that normal routine and I want to be sure.
