My mom has a small drip leak and her bathroom sink has Waltec faucets. The building is from the 90s and I assume this has never been changed but I can't find this exact same hot water cartridge.

I read that it should be a Waltec 76100/76101 or 96100/96101 for the hot/cold water cartridge.

The ones she currently has I notice there is a small "gap" near the bottom as seen in the picture.

Will the newer ones work as a replacement or do I need to find the exact one with that similar "gap"?

Thanks in advance for any help! Apparently it's been leaking for a while and she didn't have anyone else to help her. 😑
