French visa in USA won't be approved before departure date - what to expect now?
Submitted my application for a tourist visa a little over two weeks ago and flight is this Sunday, I knew it was a gamble but I also saw posts of people approved faster. Already cancelled all my prepaid flights and hotels stays since even if I still go I will have to move everything.
Anyway, what will happen now - will they reject my application, approve visa for original travel dates, approve visa with a buffer for new dates, ask for a new itinerary?
I feel like I have strong enough profile - had Schengen visas once a year for past 4 years, visited other countries as well and have enough money in savings. The weakest part is probably itinerary itself - skipping Paris entirely, visiting 3 countries with France 2nd and for the same number of days as 3rd country but nothing against the rules.
