EoE questions
I just finished reading the Edge of Eternities story. I got into MTG about 6 months ago, just before Lorwyn Eclipsed, at the tale end of Final Fantasy. Didn't find out about the lore or Magic Story until a couple months in. I started listening to the Magic Story podcast first. I went all the way back to its beginning, so, Phyrexian arc. I read the new ones at the same time, so got caught up on Lorwyn Eclipsed and Secrets of Strixhaven.
Sorry, all that was just to preface my question. All the rest of the Magic Story follows a definite pattern, with arcs, stories and characters intertwining, overlapping, and following each other. Then comes Edge of Eternities. I know Tezzerett links it to the rest of Magic, but that's it. I loved the story, I love a good sci fi novel or show, and I'm glad MTG is trying it out. But it doesn't follow any of the rest of the Magic Story rhythm. Is there more to this arc? Will they pick up where they left off? How does it connect with the ongoing story of Jace, Vraska, and Loot? Did the set not do well enough to justify continuing this arc? It feels very out of place right now and I'm looking forward to finding out if/how it will tie in with the overall story. Does anyone know if I'm missing something? Maybe there was more info when the set first released and I didn't see it.
I'm very curious, but in the mean time I'm excited for Reality Fracture and the Star Trek UB sets.
