Hi everyone! I'm trying my first applique quilt and the HeatnBond package says to pre-wash the fabric. I don't normally pre-wash, and I've already made the background without pre-washing. How important is it that I do so? I will be stitching around the edges of the applique and quilting over it so the HeatnBond is really only necessary for the initial construction of the quilt, not for longevity. Thanks!
