Honest question: has anyone actually looked into what the government pays you to go solar?

I've been working in the solar space for a few months now and honestly the number of people who have no idea this exists still surprises me.

The federal government has a rebate scheme that takes thousands of dollars off the upfront cost of a solar system. Not after you install it. Not as a tax return. Right off your invoice before you pay.

A typical Sydney home currently gets around $1,800 off a standard system. If you're adding a battery, it's up to $4,000 more. Both applied at point of sale by your installer.

The part nobody mentions: it reduces every single year. What you get today is more than what you'll get in 2027.

I'm not here to sell anything. Just genuinely surprised more people don't know this exists before they start getting quotes.

If anyone is looking into solar and wants honest, free advice on what makes sense for their home, feel free to...me
