I’m finishing high school soon and planning to study engineering at university, so I’m currently looking for a laptop that can handle both engineering applications and some gaming on the side.

Up until now, I’ve mainly done my coding and other work on a desktop PC, but since I’ll likely be moving out for university, I need something portable and reliable for everyday use.

My budget is around €1200, and at the moment, I’ve been looking into the Lenovo Legion series because they seem to offer strong performance and decent value, especially for gaming. However, I’m concerned about battery life, portability, and how practical they are for long uni days
