Most skipped season ever
I’ve been watching Splitsvilla for more than 10 years, and I can say for sure that this is the season I’ve skipped the most.
The makers don’t seem to have anything strong or creative to add this season, so they’re just milking all the drama for content.
Maybe they were tired of contestants constantly trying to break rules for 2 seconds of fame. Either this was their way of getting back at contestants by publicly humiliating them, or they were just trying to save MTV’s sinking ship.
No previous season has gone this low when it comes to humiliating contestants. Earlier, fights used to be about competition. Now, most contestants just seem toxic.
Asmita – She seems too self-involved and constantly fights for no reason. She had an issue with Anushka from Day 1, but why? She comes across as narcissistic and acts entitled to stay in the show despite barely performing well. Maybe she thinks looks alone are enough — at least according to her. She got rejected by “Cheaptanshu,” realized no one except Ron would chase her, and went back to him. Did not win anything major (did she even win anything?) Yet every time, she argues about why she deserves to stay in Splitsvilla.
AK – Okay, you had a heartbreak. But is that the only interesting thing that has happened in your life in the last 6–8 months? Is that your entire personality now? It feels like you’re trying to gain followers through this drama. But once the drama is over, then what? It would honestly be better to focus on building some actual talent that helps your career long-term.
R – I didn’t like her in the last season because she was always shouting, fighting, and abusing people. It’s clear she has changed now — whether genuinely or just for the cameras, I don’t know — but it definitely feels like a new character. She acts like she doesn’t want fame from all this, but then why come on a reality show and make your private life public? At least own the personality you’ve created for yourself. Also, when the camera is on, she carefully avoids saying problematic things herself and lets her friends say them instead. That makes it feel performative.
I actually liked Niharika initially because she seemed focused on winning and had a clear game plan. But even that changed later. Khair.
Suzanne – A 19-year-old trying to get famous in whatever way possible. It feels like she believes her own identity alone won’t make her famous, so she always needs another person attached to her storyline — whether it’s Sandy, AK, her ex, etc.
Sandy – Sandy honestly seems genuine, but she doesn’t realize there’s a difference between being a “baddie” and being a bully. I also feel that if she hadn’t been friends with “aunty,” she probably wouldn’t have become this much of a bully.
Kaira – Selectively a “girls’ girl,” a bully, and sometimes even racist. She has a huge superiority complex and only supports people as long as she’s benefiting or winning.
Diksha and Anushka — I genuinely don’t even know what they want from the show.
And honestly, no one else is worth spending energy on.
I don’t even wanna talk about the guys of this season
At this point, they seem to be competing over who can be more toxic and sexist while acting like they’re the ones carrying the show. But honestly, the women are bringing most of the views this season — not in the best way, but they are. So stop trying to act like they need your permission or ideas to run the show
