Topping off Coolant?

Not the most familiar with cars.
I took my 15k mile, 24' Mirage to a Mitsubishi dealer recently and asked them to top off the coolant in the reservoir, as it seemed close to the low line.
Was this a good idea? I'm assuming it still had the blue OEM coolant in it since I purchased it used earlier in the year, and that the dealer also used the same OEM coolant.
Driving it recently, and it seemed like it could be getting less fuel efficiency than it was before I took it in.
If they were different, could this cause issues now?
