Which method suits me?
I 17F am looking into getting on birth control again, I previously had the Nexplanon implant and it was not a good experience. I bled for 8 months, gained 50lbs, and felt miserable.
I’m not sure how comfortable I would feel getting something inserted such as an IUD but i’m open to it.
I’ve been looking into a copper IUD, my biggest fear with going on birth control again is having the hormones mess with me too much. I am also nervous that with the copper IUD I would experience heavy cramping, my periods are currently light and I experience little to no cramping.
Currently i’m not sexually active, I don’t plan on being active soon so I don’t need to make any decisions quickly. But if I were to have sex I have condoms on hand, and would never do it without a condom.
Looking for others experience with copper IUDs, and any other options! I am open to hormonal birth control but i’d prefer options that aren’t :)
