15 year old cat with open cyst personal vet not very helpful

My cat goes to the vet about once a month for a shot of solensia and to have a cyst on her chest drained. I didn’t even notice she had a small cyst on her head until it burst. Of course at her age, it’s not recommended that she have anesthesia to have it further treated, but now we are just in this cycle of it oozing, forms a scab, she scratches or rubs it off and it gets bigger. I have wipes my vet gave me to clean it so it doesn’t get infected when this happens. My vet has even said if he did put her under “there’s no guarantee I’d get it all and it wouldn’t come back”

I have had her since she was a kitten and if she gets taken out by a damn cyst, I will never forgive myself!! She is in a “cone” now, and absolutely miserable and can’t clean herself anywhere else.

The first picture was last night right after she groomed herself and the scab came off. The second picture is this morning and it’s already dry but she is miserable.

Open cyst on cat’s head

My 15 year old DLH cat has had a cyst on her head for about two years. At some point, it got opened and now it oozes and the scan falls off every few weeks. My vet had me put a cone on her for three weeks so it could heal, but all that did was allow the scab to get bigger. Is there a way without anesthesia to deal with something like this??
