So I recently got back into Lego and I want to build my first moc

The question I have is will either of these parts fit correctly within this hole in the base plate

Additionally can I build something inside the cylinders as I want to build a floor vault that can be brought up and down and opened with a weapon wall affect inside

Any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you for your time photos would be a massive help if possible
