OSA Denial

My sleep apnea claim got denied not too long ago, but I think it’s because I claimed it directly and not secondary to anything. I am planning to appeal it but doing as secondary to PTSD. I have already gotten a sleep study done and I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea. I am planning on using obesity as a way to link PTSD to OSA. Ever since the incident that left me with PTSD I hav gained weight significantly. On deployment from where the incident happened I was sitting at about 180-190 pounds. Now I am sitting at about 280 so about a 100 pound difference. From what I have read, I know PTSD can drain your motivation since the body is in a constant flight or fight mode. I am just looking for some advice about how I can appeal the denial. Thank you in advance.
