Be careful with your ears
1st picture is my nowadays setup. 2nd, 3th and 4th are what I had. 4 way active filtered transmission line speakers with the wonderful mid driven JBL 2395 slantplates (older picture hence the different floor and yes I have a very understanding wife). Rotel setup with active filtering, preamp, 8 x 80 W main amp for the 4-ways, 2 x 200 W amp for the in the crawlplace hidden 2 sets (1 shown) of 3 15" subwoofers (check Cult of the Infinitly baffled). Powerplant, parametric equalizer, room correction with REW. Garrard 401 turntable with SME 3009 arm. Raspberry Pi music server. The lot, until ...
One newyears eve somebody decided to ignite heavy illegal fireworks a few meters from where I was standing. Results were: permanent hearing damage with 76dB hearing loss and tinnitus, everything above 2900Hz is gone, have to wear hearing aids. So all the joy with the setup was gone. Sold everything and have a small DAB radio next to me nowadays.
Conclusion: however much you invest in your setup, be careful.
