Just signed up for my first marathon, did I make a mistake?

Just signed up for the Charlottesville Marathon in April. I feel like I made a mistake but here we are now.

I did it cause my best friend signed up for her bday (it’s on her bday) so I decided to join her to celebrate her bday with her.

I’m a runner but by all means I’m not fast and but endurance is there. the longest I’ve ran is 10 miles. I do my first half in November at the Philly half marathon.

Did I just sign myself up to fail?

Casually running to the Liberty Bell (3.54 miles)

Today I was sitting on the couch and doom scrolling and watched like 10 running tik toks and literally my brain CRAVED running - it was as if I couldn’t control it.

So I literally put my shoes on, put my head phones in and I just ran. I figured I’d do like a mile but then I thought it would be nice to quickly see the liberty bell and head back home. This whole run made me remember how cool my city is.

It’s also just so cool knowing I can literally run to such a historic area.

3.54miles, 11:26/miles, 40min 19s
