Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat / X30 / X40/S30 Pro Ultra user maintenance tips: Don’t ignore the rag Velcro!

Many users regularly replace mop pads, filters, and dust bags, but one small component is often overlooked—the hook-and-loop fastener rings that secure the mop pads to the mop holders.

https://preview.redd.it/7khl1gqenf5h1.png?width=512&format=png&auto=webp&s=336ff9c25d6441b639d4ed9bc85c1c5ccc6c5a41

Over time, repeated washing, removal, and reattachment can wear down the fastener surface, reducing its ability to hold the mop pad firmly in place.

When the fastener rings begin to wear, you may notice:

  • Mop pads no longer attach as securely as before
  • Slight pad movement during cleaning
  • Edges of the mop pad lifting over time
  • Less consistent contact between the mop pad and the floor

Replacing worn fastener rings can help:

✔ Keep mop pads securely attached
✔ Support consistent floor contact during cleaning
✔ Reduce pad shifting while the robot is operating
✔ Make routine mop pad replacement easier and more convenient

It's a small and inexpensive part, but replacing it when needed can help maintain stable mop pad attachment and a smoother cleaning experience over time.

Has anyone here replaced their mop pad fastener rings before? How long did the original ones last in your experience? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Will roller mops eventually replace traditional spinning mop pads?

From what I see, probably not—at least not anytime soon.

Traditional spinning mop pads still have several key advantages. They feature a proven design, lower replacement costs, and compatibility with a wide range of robot vacuum models. For consumers, they're easy to replace and maintain. For sellers, the demand remains stable and the supply chain is already well established.

Roller mops, on the other hand, offer stronger cleaning performance. By continuously cleaning the roller while mopping, they can handle stubborn stains more effectively and help reduce cross-contamination on floors. That's one reason why they're becoming increasingly popular in premium robot vacuum models.

However, roller mops also come with a practical challenge: higher maintenance costs. Compared with traditional mop pads, roller assemblies and related consumables are generally more expensive to replace over time.

As a result, many users are beginning to look beyond OEM accessories and explore whether there are reliable, cost-effective alternatives that can deliver similar performance without the premium price tag.

After receiving the vacuum cleaner accessories, if something "doesn't fit" appears, you can actually stop rushing to leave a negative review/return. It may be faster to communicate with them.

After working in the vacuum accessory business, I realized something interesting:

When buyers run into a problem, the first reaction is usually:

  • Leave a negative review
  • Open a return request
  • Start a dispute immediately

But in many cases, a “compatibility issue” doesn’t necessarily mean the product is completely wrong.

Robot vacuum accessories are actually more complicated than most people think:

  • The same model may have different structures across production years
  • Different country versions can have slight differences
  • Factory upgrades may change clip or brush designs
  • Some rollers need extra pressure to click into place properly
  • Side brushes can become slightly bent during shipping (hot water usually fixes this)

In customer service, we often see situations like this:

A buyer says:

>

But later we discover:

  • The part was installed in the wrong direction
  • It wasn’t fully pressed into place
  • The original accessory was actually an upgraded version
  • The model suffix was different
  • Or sometimes the wrong vacuum model was selected during purchase

Of course, mistakes do happen:

  • Wrong item shipped
  • Factory packing errors
  • Incorrect labels
  • Missing compatibility information

And in those cases, most responsible sellers are happy to:

  • Resend the correct part
  • Offer a partial refund
  • Provide a full refund
  • Help confirm the correct model

So if you ever receive vacuum accessories that seem incompatible, I sincerely recommend:

Please contact the seller first and send a short installation video

Because many issues can be solved much faster with:

  • The vacuum model
  • The original part
  • The replacement part
  • A quick installation clip

Honestly, a 10-second video often solves more than 20 messages back and forth.

Most serious sellers genuinely want to help.

After all:

One negative review can heavily damage a listing,
but one patient conversation can save a lot of time for both sides.

And of course, if a seller refuses to help,
you absolutely should use returns, refunds, or platform support when necessary.

I just wanted to share this from a seller’s perspective:

A lot of vacuum accessory “compatibility problems”
can actually be solved much faster with a simple conversation first 😂

Hey everyone,

I’ve been looking into the Roomba Max 700 series (705 / 706 / 707 Combo)

From what I can tell after checking official listings across different regions:

Max 705 Combo (US) → AutoWash dock, roller mop, auto-empty, mop washing & hot air drying

Max 706 Combo (EU/UK) → seems to have very similar specs

Max 707 Combo (US) → same AutoWash system, roller mop, dual rubber brushes

So it doesn’t really look like a “feature upgrade ladder”, but more like regional or bundle variations of the same platform.

👉 My current understanding / 我的理解:

They likely share the same core platform, which means these parts might be interchangeable:

Main brushes (dual rubber brushes)

Side brushes

Filters

Dust bags

Roller mop components

However, I couldn’t find any official confirmation that everything is 100% interchangeable, so I’m not treating it as guaranteed.

⚠️ Important distinction / 重要区分:

EN:

The 705 Vac (vacuum-only version) is NOT the same as the Combo models.

Uses AutoEmpty dock instead of AutoWash

No mopping system

So I’m only referring to 705 / 706 / 707 Combo models here.

❓ Questions / 想请教:

Has anyone actually used the same accessories across these models?

Ecovacs Deebot N30 Omni / N30 Pro Omni ,Ecovacs Deebot N30 plus,Ecovacs Deebot N20e/N20e Plus, The main brush, side brush and filter of these models are all universal. The ECOVACS brand N30 series is actually an "enhanced version of the base station" of the N20 series. The N20e/Plus is primarily aimed at the manual cleaning or simple dust collection market, while the N30 introduces an all-in-one base station. In order to reduce production costs, Ecovos allowed the two generations of machines to share the brush head module and filter of the chassis.

Note that there are major differences in the accessories between the two !Recently I discovered that two machines that look very similar and can easily be confused have huge differences in their dust bags, and filters. There is a small detail that can help us distinguish them, as shown in the figure below,They can be distinguished by the color of the front bezel.
