Planning for an Ausbildung in Germany in 2 years – Looking for advice (Industriekaufmann)
I'm a 21-year-old from Thailand, and I'm planning to apply for an Ausbildung in Germany in about two years.
At the moment, I'm working in Japan as a factory trainee. I've completed one year of the program and have two years left before I finish. Around the same time, I hope to apply for an Ausbildung.
I started learning German about a month ago, so I'm still at the beginning. I also have Japanese skills at around the A2 level and i dont have Eng test yet.
1.I'm interested in becoming an Industriekaufmann, and I have a few questions:
Does having Japanese language skills (around A2) add any value to my application, or is it unlikely to make a difference?
2.Is Industriekaufmann an Ausbildung that is usually filled by German applicants, making it difficult for non-EU applicants to get a place?
3.Would you recommend sticking with this career path, or should I consider another Ausbildung with better chances as an international applicant?
4.What should I focus on during the next two years to make my application as competitive as possible?
I'd really appreciate any advice, especially from people who have experience with Ausbildung or employers in Germany.
Danke!
Benny.
