Dolly Parton’s hometown statue at the Sevier County courthouse has been surrounded by flowers since her passing. Each day they’re being collected and donated locally. Today they went to the Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital in Knoxville. Because of course that’s what Dolly would do.

The flowers left in honor of Dolly by her statue at the Sevier County courthouse. They were collected for the third time just after this photo was taken, and were to be distributed at the Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital in Knoxville. Because of course Dolly would want it that way.

1990…Back when your teacher having a video camera in the classroom was a novelty, and the girls worked in cahoots with Aqua Net to deplete the ozone.

Sharecropper’s cabin on my great grandfather’s Sevier Co. TN farm circa 1972.
Long gone, but still hanging in my living room. The big house burned down around 1950 and sadly we had no photos of it.
